Soil

The estate is located in the hillsides of the Left Bank of the Dordogne on a landlocked hill between two small valleys.

The parcel has 12 parcels in production out of 14.5Ha of the 30Ha of the domain. The rest of the land consists of meadows on 8 Ha, arable land for 6Ha and forest on 2Ha.

The vines have been conducted in Organic Agriculture since 2006, certified by ECOCERT and since 2019 worked in Biodynamics with a view to DEMETER certification.

The project is to replant on agricultural land herbs and aromatic plants that will constitute the bulk of our treatments.

Some of the work of the soils in animal traction should be put in place soon as well as the introduction of sulphite-free cuvées.

Most soils are clay-textured. Geological formations are originally limestone.

The presence of the limestone bench in the basement of most low-lying areas allows for good natural drainage of water circulations.

The presence of Calcium and Magnesium ensures good soil stability. The location of the estate is mainly of northern exposure with low slopes.
